The Gold Coast is the primary film production center in Queensland.
It and accounts for three fourths of all film production in Queensland since the 1990s. There is an expenditure of around $150 million per year. It is the third largest film production center in all of Australia. Warner Brothers Corporation has a large studio area just outside of the city.
This was the site of the recently produced Scooby Doo films and The House of Wax.
The Warner Roadshow Studios are associated with the Warner Brothers Movie World Theme Park at Oxenford. The studios consist of eight sound stages, production offices, editing rooms, wardrobe, water tanks and construction workshops.
